We are Resurge, a London based Indie game development team, and we are currently working on Odium - a 16-bit puzzle platformer.
We aim to deliver high quality games at affordable prices. The games market has become polluted with excessive prices, and we aim to avoid this at all costs.
All our games are made and written in GML (Game Maker Language), which is included in GMS (Game Maker Studio). Click here to find out more
We are also working on developing further projects in Godot, a free and open source 2D/3D engine.
The 16-bit, pixel-art style that we use is similar to the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), and it's our primary art style. Our art is made in Aseprite, an affordable pixel art editor.
All of our UI/non-pixel design is created and prototyped in Affinity Designer, a vector design and art program by Serif. Find out more about Affinity.
All of the music in our games is composed in FL Studio 2019, a capable and powerful music composition program.

Odium is a twist on the classic 16-bit platformer, with a unique puzzle element.
The game features Caspian, a stranded octopus-like alien who has been abandoned by his companions in a nearby galaxy. In his plummet through the cosmos, he has been consumed by the power of dark energy.
He arrives in the oasis of Skypeak Atoll, to collect light energy to cure the dark energy’s abnormal effects.
It is now your role to heal Caspian from the dark powers which he is possessed by.
