Pipelines
Pipelines is a game about a subterranean quest of Penny, who travels through pipelines to reach the goal. The theme of the GMTK Jam in 2019 is ‘only one...’, so we decided to use the theme of ‘only one button’ in our project.
To substitute movement, a pointer rotates around penny, and when the player selects the SPACE key they enter the corresponding pipe. The pointer increases speed until Penny is too dizzy, and the player dies. Doors also appear. You will need to find the corresponding keys to procede through them.
Please play the game and critique it in the comments, we hope you enjoy!

The song for this is great and I love how the speed/pitch changes as your charge runs out + the rate at which your direction changes.
Play works and exit works. Though the guide menu doesn't work and return in the credits menu doesn't work. You also can't exit to the main menu at the end of the game.
On to the game itself. The art is nice and the limited use of colours helps guide the player through the levels. Though often at a junction the arrow starts at the option to go back, which is pretty annoying when you want to quickly move through the pipes and press space too quickly.
UPDATE: It has come to our attention from some playtesting that the Guide option on the menu crashes the game. Attached are the panels which explain how it works, but hopefully it's fairly intuitive anyway! Thank you and sorry for this mistake (PLEASE AVOID THE GUIDE OPTION)
